I am a playwright, theatre-maker and multi-slam winning spoken word artist based in York.

I trained as an actor at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and graduated in 2001. I was a BBC Carlton Hobbs winner and worked on the BBC Radio Drama Company on graduation and went on to work in theatre, radio and TV.

In 2005, I studied playwriting at the Royal Court Theatre, London and my first play was performed as part of the Royal court Young Writers Festival 2007.

I have an MA in Theatre and a PhD by Creative Practice in Playwriting from the University of York where I lectured in Playwriting in the School of Arts and Creative Technologies as co-Programme Leader of the MA Playwriting 2020 - 2022.

i am currently in role as Executive Producer at ARCADE. I am also an Associate Artist at Say Owt , York's leading spoken word organisation. 

I am an experienced workshop leader and facilitator and can create packages for groups and individuals in all aspects of writing, storytelling and performance technique.
